Instead of going to Europe, i’ve managed to give myself a lil beach vacay for a week and a half for free. How? you might ask? it’s called making friends in sweet ass places. aka. friends that don’t live in their parents basement and live off Totino’s Pizza Rolls.

well, with one exception, Shawn. She’s a fellow instructor from mammoth who lives literally a jump, skip , and a hop away from the beach…at her parents house… but since the house is like a fancy Dana Point beachside bed and breakfast and her Mom cooks us fucking steaks, roasts and everything else you could want in a hearty dinner – she is not considered lame. infact, since i get my own room, tv, and awesome view? She is considered awesome. I’ve spent the last week with her. meeting her awesome and hot lifeguard friends and burning my ass falling asleep on the beach. thank you Shawn.

Not wanting to wear out my welcome with her parents, they love me cuz i clean out all their leftovers in the fridge. I’ve since ventured north to Newport. Tyson, another fellow seasonal Mammoth kid, lives amazingly closer to the beach. Shawn had a 3 min walk. “how do you live closer?!” you might ask. well, I can see the waves and walk to the sand with my eyes closed and pretty much not get lost. I could prolly throw a rock and hit the sand. I’ll be here for a few days.

Sadly, I feel my beach time this summer will be remarkably cut short due to the fact that I wil not be living here this summer. duh. and also to the fact that i still do not have a car, i’m getting shit for money from unemployment, and i actually have to get a job to keep my sanity while living back at home for the 3-4 months of summer i have.

Theres been talk of going back up to seattle for the month of October, which would be fuckin sweet. but i’ve also been looking for flights to germany for the whole month of October. Being that Seattle is undoubtably more affordable – thats prolly where ill end up spending my halloween once again. and if so, my only question is…what will i be this year? i’m thinking unicorn…

OH! AND THE 4TH OF FUCKING JULY!

going big, bigger, smaller, bigger. With setup averaging 30 ft right now, probably the smallest it’s been all season.

After watching multiple people hit this what seemed to be massive jump – I decided I have to hit it. It’s spring, the snow is soft – I really have nothing to lose. So, I watched a few friends, called my drop, and BAM! Threw the fattest fucking shifty of my life. SO stoked. This was all yesterday and all day today I hit it no prob – even got a somewhat decent shot.

Slightly used but in good working condition. I am no longer a PC. I am now a Mac and I AM invited.

So, now the only sad part is that I lost my Camera. I’ve been looking on Ebay for about 2 weeks now. I’m trying to upgrade to the Canon G10 instead of staying with the Sony. I love the Sony but the Canon is what i really want. If any of you out there have any connections or know of anyone trying to sell one? PLEASE let me know. Contact info is on the contact page .

Being without computer or camera REALLY sucks when you’re trying to run a blog. All my photo’s i was going to post – Gone. All the content I had written up – Gone. I almost feel like I’m starting from scratch all over again. and with the summer coming and spring riding in full swing? bummed.

But, no matter. Life must go one. and until I get a new legit camera – iPhone shots will have to do.

For 2010 SNOWBOARDER has adopted an “Animal House” theme for Superpark dubbing it Animal Park. According to SNOWBOARDER’s editor Pat Bridges “The poster for ‘Animal House’ says it all ‘It was the Deltas against the rules… the rules lost.’ Snowboarding was founded by a bunch of dudes who went against the rules and, well you know the rest. Similarly, SNOWBOARDER started Superpark to create a venue where we didn’t need to follow any rules.” Expect 150 of the world’s best park riders to send it for four days straight as they pledge Tri Landa Air.
